Hi Everyone,
I had 3 of my quilts in the quilt Showcase last week in Melbourne and I won 3 wonderful prizes.
"Adorable Adelaide" won First, in the Mainly Applique Professional category and also won the Excellence in Domestic Machine Quilting category. I couldn't believe it and have been over the moon.
My quilt, "We Will Remember Them", which is a tribute to our soldiers, past and present, won First in the Art Quilt category, as well. I was so happy as I really like that quilt and enjoyed every minute of making it.
At Jill's shop (Jiddi's Patch) where I teach applique, I am going to start teaching domestic machine quilting. I am really looking forward to that, although with a little trepidation as I have never taught quilting before. But it should be fun and I am sure there will be lots of laughter as there generally is in classes.
I hope you are enjoying your quilting. Til next time. Robyn

July 2012
Hi Everyone,
I am still doing lots of teaching and Ian is currently in the process of putting some of the projects that I offer for classes on our web site. I really enjoy the teaching aspect of quilting and sharing my ideas and creations with girls through classes. I continue to teach at Jiddi's Patch in Geelong city which is a wonderful quilt shop with the most inviting, warm and friendly atmosphere.
I am working there for one day a week as well and thoroughly enjoying it. The girls in the shop, Jill, Chris and Bette are always happy to assist quilters and spend time helping them when they need it.
I took up a wonderful opportunity recently to go up to Albury where I grew up and teach some classes up there, too, at Avonleigh Country Quilting. So Ian and I packed up the caravan and off we went. It was a lovely time with some great classes. Thank you to Sharon and Kay and all of the girls.
It seems to be a very cold winter here and I long for some sunshine. However, it is great quilting weather. So happy quilting til next time.
